Birat Medial College (BMC) is the newest medical school in Nepal. Established in 2014 os an extended program of Kathmondu University, BMC is now gearing up for its fifth intake. Each year 75 national and international students join BMC to pursue their life-long passion and goals. Birat Medical College (BMC), on institute under Kathmondu University, has on site a specialized campus dedicated to the education and preparation of Medical Health professionals with strong commitment to further workforce development and continuing education. BMC campus, spread over 22 bigho (over 33 acres) of land, comprises of state-of-art academic and research facilities, consisting of spacious and well equipped laboratories, dissection halls, museums with large number of specimens, Library etc. Birot Medical College (BMC) was awarded on extension program by The Kathmandu University since August
2014. This fully accredited college currently runs an MBBS program as on extension of Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUSMS). Finance and Operation of BMC is independent but is directly under the supervision of KU in terms of Academics, Examination and Teaching Calendar. Birat Medical College is located at Tan kisinwari, Biratnagor, with 15 specialized departments. Birot Medical College, Biratnagar, is the outcome of Dr. Gyanendro Man Sing Korki. By 1992 AD, there were only few hospitals in Nepal regarding Gynaecological sector. As of July 2014, we are Birat Medical College, School of Medicine. Our first class of medical students will being their stuties this August. Birat Medical college has been established on the base of Birotnagar Aspatal Pvt. Ltd. which has over the post two decodes strived to uphold the culture of excellence in providing the finest healthcare.

Entrance Information for BMC

  • BMC conducts an entrance examination usually in the month of September each year. 100 objective questions 1 mark each are asked in entrance examination which lasts 2 hour.
